MWAG Press is Born! I've opened up a publishing division of Market with a G. I'm currently working on a handful of books which will be published for a few clients and released starting the beginning of May! Check back for updates and website improvements. My portfolios (especially web and business) are LONG overdue for an update, but my web and business clients have kept me pretty busy! I'll also be adding a publishing portfolio or links to published works sometime in the near future.
Other additions of note to MWAG are the introduction of several lines of promotional products. It was a pretty natural addition to my current business, as many of my clients were asking for thier logo actually ON something after I created it. My dad always told me, "Swine get fat, hogs get slaughtered." As a tribute to dad's eloquently put business advice, I've made it a priority to offer a lower price on promotional products than any other published retail price you can find online. So with that said, if you can find it online, I'll probably be able to get you the same thing...only cheaper. Click here to see a small list of what I can get my hands on.
Christmas Card Season is Upon Us! Looks like I'm getting dangerously close to the Christmas card cut-off for this year! Although it seems (knock wood) to be going a lot smoother than in year's past, so I may take Christmas (or other seasonal holiday) card orders past December 1st.
Memorial Day weekend always brings on the thoughts of the lazy days of summer--hot days, warm nights, the smell of barbeque in the air and a cold drink all can be a tempting alternative to work. However, work must still be done...I tend to err on the side of the ant rather than the grasshopper these days and have found that there is still plenty of time for play even after the work is all done. Let's all remember the real reason for that extra day off on Monday too...show your support at a local Memorial Day parade or maybe just take a minute to say a little prayer for our troops and for those that died defending our freedoms. I'm truly blessed to be able to do what I love to do while raising two beautiful little girls with a great guy by my side...the whole reason I 'm grateful for the country I live in and the people who defend it.
Market with a G turns two years old today! I never would have imagined that I would and could have completed as much work as I have in this amount of time. Great things lie ahead! So, cheers and here's to a influx of biz, shorter learning curves and lots of real life design!
Market with a G launches new and improved website! I thought is was tiime to do a little pre-spring cleaning. The site needed a newer, fresher look and feel, and I was also sick-to-death of that old, slow-loading portfolio that I had. This porfolio is a lot better, and the best part is it uses good 'ol html coding, a little php, css and javascript so it doesn't take forever to load. I hope you enjoy the new and improved site as much as I enjoyed creating it. If you haven't already seen the hidden background elements, you can zoom out and view some of my scribbles...this was really fun to create and is a pretty good representation of "what's going on in there" at any given moment! Think of it as a "behind the scenes" look at Market with a G.
With the success and demand of last year's holiday cards, I will be creating a reservation list for 2010 holiday cards.
